United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres established a High-Level Expert Group on the Net-Zero Emissions Commitments of Non-State Entities on 31 March 2022. Their mandate was to develop stronger and clearer standards for net-zero emissions pledges by non-State entities – including businesses, investors, cities and regions – and speed up their implementation. This side-event is privileged to count with the Chair and five members of the group who will present and explain the conclusions and recommendations of the report delivered to the UN Secretary General.
